The Tendu was my very first pointe shoe. They are perfect for the beginner with square feet or even length toes. The lower vamp works well for dancers with shorter toes or lower arches, and the soft, supple shank helps those with low arches reach full pointe. If you have strong feet they probably won't last that long which is why they are best suited for beginners. Lambs wool toe pads or ouch pouches fit nicely into these shoes, but the same can't be said about thicker gel toe pads(very cramped).
